The most populasr festival of this place is Makar Sankranti or the Kite Festival .Colourful kites spread their wings just like birds and the entire place echoes with the playfulness of the people. Anant Chaudas
It falls in the month of September. The streets are filled with large processions on the night of this festival and people immerse large idol of Lord Ganesha in water.
Rangapanchami
This festival is celebrated five days after Holi . Unlike Holi, this festival marked by colour of music .This festival is the legacy of Holkars and it is celebrated by mixing colour in water and sprinkled on the streets.
Ahilya Utsav
It is celebrated annually in order to commemorate the death anniversary of the brave queen of Indore, Ahilya Bai.
Navratri
This festival is celebrated in a different manner here. The temple of Bijasen Mata is decorated beautifully and a fair is organized during Navratri .Thousands of devotees throng in large numbers to seek blessing during this festival.
