The city of Indore spans over an area of 214 square kilometers. It is situated at 75 o 48' East longitude and 22o 48' North latitude. The city is set at an average height of 550 meters above the sea level.
Indore being a landlocked city witnesses extremely hot summer. The temperatures shoots up during the summer time. The temperature during the summer season ranges between 35o Celsius to 40o Celsius while in winter the mercury level dis to 2o Celsius.
Indore is situated at the southern fringes of the Malwa Plateau. This geographical location allows the city to experiences soothing breeze during the evening. This breeze is popularly called the Shab-e-Malwa, which provides immense to the people from the unbearable heat of the sun.
